2021 – supporting to compose new contemporary music – cooperation with Italian composer Dario Marianelli – celebration the 700th anniversary of the greatest Italian poet, philosopher and thinker Dante Alighieri.
In 2021, May 19, on the grand stage of Rustaveli National State Drama Theatre, Giorgi Aleksidze Tbilisi Contemporary Ballet and Giorgi Aleksidze Foundation for the Development of Contemporary Choreography presented the world premiere of Mariam Aleksidze‘s contemporary ballet „Beatrice“ joining the worldwide celebration of this date. According to Professor David Maziashvili’s concept, commissioned by the Fund and the support of The Embassy of Italy to Georgia, the original music for the ballet created by Oscar, Golden Globe and multi-Award winning composer Dario Marianelli.
